Pink Granite Teapot
Inspired by Barry Brickell's domestic ware this teapot was thrown on-site at Driving Creek Potteries during a month-long residency.
This pink granite glaze was made with rock collected in the Buller/Kawatiri gorge. Brought to Driving Creek to be crushed and milled in the heavy machinery Barry collected from the gold mining industry.
18cm x 24cm x 17cm
All glazes were made on-site using materials sourced or processed in the Coromandel.
The clay used is a mix of Driving Creeks "Corogold" & Mac's Mud buff.
